Amazon’s Dash Cart: The consumer’s experience game changer

Amazon has announced last July the new consumers cart for it’s retail Fresh Grocery stores. This Amazon smart cart is called Dash Cart. It allows customers to collect products and automatically pricing them at the cart without a need of passing by a check-out counter. The cart uses a combination of computer vision algorithms and sensor fusion to identify items you put in the cart. When you exit through the store’s Amazon Dash Cart lane, sensors automatically identify the cart, and your payment is processed using the credit card on your Amazon account.

This smart cart can be linked to your Alexa shopping list and cross check the items needed. By using the QR code from the amazon app, the smart dash cart will recognize your profile and your billing information.

The checkout is big time saver. You won’t need to do much as a user as you just leave the cart at the exit lane and leave the store. Your account will be billed while the receipt is emailed to you.

This revolutionary way of shopping will increase the consumer’s experience and save time. Amazon is leading the way with new technologies and solutions related to online and physical stores shopping experiences.
