WASHINGTON, June 28, 2021– Leaders from two key retail service providers were named members of the NRF Foundation Board of Directors during its virtual meeting on June 17.
“The strength of our NRF Foundation board comes from the dedicated group of professionals who believe in the power of connecting people to the incredible retail opportunities that are available in every community nationwide. We are thrilled to welcome two new board members to help us with this important work,” NRF Foundation Executive Director Bill Thorne said. “We look forward to drawing on their experience and expertise as we expand the reach of our resources — including our retail skills credentials and undergraduate scholarships — to help prepare people of all backgrounds to launch life-changing careers.”
The new board members are:
- PwC Vice Chairman of Consumer Markets Barbra Bukovac
- SAS Vice President of Global Retail and Consumer Goods Solutions Richard Widdowson
Additionally, the board term for Susan Hart, global retail practice leader for Spencer Stuart, has been extended by six months.
The NRF Foundation board is chaired by Macy’s, Inc. Chairman and CEO Jeff Gennette.
